Fun Kids’ Guide to Zurich

Explore the world with Zoom!

Hi, it’s Zoom here from Birmingham Airport!

I love travelling and keeping a record of all the places I’ve visited in my scrapbook!

Check out this entry from Zurich!

Zurich is in the northern end of Switzerland

It’s just under two hours from Birmingham Airport.

Zurich

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. At the north western tip of Lake Zürich, the city has an amazing backdrop of rolling hills.

Zurich is home to the famous Zurich Toy Museum! It takes you on a journey through the last 300 years of childhood.  You can explore the toys owned by your grandparents, from doll’s houses to steam train sets.

St. Peter Church is the oldest church in Zurich and has the largest clock face in Europe – it nearly 9 metres across.  You get a great view from here as well – no wonder it was used as a fire watch post!

Uetliberg is Zurich’s very own mountain – at 2,850 feet, it towers over the rooftops.  There’s an impressive panoramic view of the city, the lake and the Alps.  If you come in November, whilst a blanket of fog may cover the city, at the top of Uetliberg it’s quite clear.

I love being able to remember the trips that I have done.

Why don’t you create a scrapbook of your holidays? It could be online like mine, or in a book or on your computer!
