Justin and the Knights of Valour (PG, 2013)

Director: Manuel Sicilia

Cast: Saoirse Ronan, Freddie Highmore, Mark Strong, Rupert Everett, Antonio Banderas, Tamsin Egerton

Justin would love to be a dashing knight. The problem is, he lives in a kingdom where knights are outlawed and civil servants rule. Yes, it’s as dull as it sounds.

Luckily, Justin’s sympathetic grandma is on hand to inspire him to embark on a quest to find his grandfather’s sword and revive the ancient order of the Knights of Valour. But first he has to get some serious training in with his three, decidedly different, mentors. The superb voice cast has great fun with this feel-good animated tale about an unlikely hero.

If you like this, why not try these other great films with similar themes? How To Train Your Dragon (PG, 2010); A Knight’s Tale (PG, 2001); Mulan (U, 1998); The Karate Kid (12, 1984); Kung Fu Panda (PG, 2008)
