We’ll start with the bad news – Club Penguin is closing down on desktop and mobile!

Memberships are no longer available to buy and current users and subscriptions will stop soon.

The good news is that Club Penguin will still be around!

There’s a brand-new game coming called Club Penguin Island in March.

It’s just on mobile and will have loads of new features!

It launches on March 29th 2017 but there’ll be a huge party to celebrate the new game coming on February 1st!

Here’s a video clip from the Club Penguin Island as a little tease…

Players in some countries can pre-register their new penguin name for Club Penguin Island and will receive a bunch of exclusive goodies when they first log in!

It’s sad that the original Club Penguin is closing down but cool that it won’t be gone forever!

If you’re still not sure how the closure will work, here’s some important points that we’ve copy and pasted from the Club Penguin website…

Memberships for desktop Club Penguin and the Club Penguin app will no longer be available for purchase as of Jan. 31, 2017. From Jan. 31 until Mar. 29, 2017, current paid members can log in and continue to enjoy full-unlimited access until their original membership end date.

As of Jan. 31, 2017, paid member accounts will no longer be charged a recurring payment for desktop Club Penguin and the Club Penguin app.

Emails will be sent to current paid members with further information about membership including refund details.

If you do not currently have a Club Penguin membership, you can continue to log in and enjoy the game as you were previously, until March 29, 2017.
