Real-life lemurs launch the brand-new film Island of Lemurs: Madagascar at Woburn Safari Park!

We love lemurs here at Fun Kids! In fact, we probably spend about 87.6% of our daily lives watching funny lemur videos on YouTube (whilst listening to the radio, of course!)

So imagine our excitement when we heard that the lemurs of Madagascar were getting their own movie!

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar is the brand-new IMAX 3D film that’s just pure, 100% lemur fun!

It’s narrated by top Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman and is being released exclusively in IMAX 3D at select IMAX cinemas nationwide from today!

We sent our Fun Kids reporter Cornelius down to Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire to meet the writer and producer of the documentary, Drew Fellman, and learn more about these popular primates!

“The story of lemurs is a great adventure story and IMAX 3D really allowed us to bring the audience into the environment,” David said about the film.

“We were able to get perspectives that you just can’t get using normal film.  Watching Island of Lemurs: Madagascar in IMAX 3D is like having a lemur in your lap!”

“It really helps you feel what it’s like to be in the rainforest in Madagascar.”

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar looks at the incredible true story of the lemurs on the African island.

Lemurs arrived in Madagascar as castaways millions of years ago and evolved into hundreds of diverse species but are now highly endangered.
