Visit a farm this summer to get close to animals and pick-your-own fruit and vegetables!

There are farms all over the country!

We’re challenging you to visit a farm this summer and soak in some of the countryside!

Farms are full of animals, food, and can help you get closer to nature.

In fact, some farms are so big they feature their own shops selling produce grown on-site!

Other farms might even let you pick your own fruit, like strawberries or blackcurrants.

There are two farms on our events guide right now but there are loads all over the country!

You could visit Millets Farm in Oxfordshire which has a huge maze made from maize! That’s basically sweetcorn.

There’s also free drop in sessions at Vauxhall City Farm, where you can see what it’s like to be a farmer for the day.

If you can’t get to a farm straight away, don’t worry! There’s no need to feel left out. Anna-Louise has her own farm and writes about the animals on it.

She shares photos of her farm friends all the time, including this adorable little lamb!

Also, have you ever wondered what happens down on the farm?

We have a post all about that in our Food and Environment podcast!
