Mudchute Park and Farm

mudchute

Mudchute Park and Farm is a wonderful 32 acre site located in the middle of the Isle of Dogs, with fantastic views across London.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets,  Mudchute Park and Farm preserves the open space and make it available for events, community groups or just your simple family picnic. And where else do you get to share your lunch with friendly fur and feathered creatures.

The Farm is one of the largest inner City Farms anywhere in Europe, and has a wonderful collection of British rare breeds, withover 200 animals and fowl currently on the farm! That’s one pretty big family to look after…

The larger animals graze in the outer enclosures and fields, while the smaller and perhaps more cuddly, are kept just next to the main courtyard in ‘Pets Corner’, providing interactive viewing.

If you want to get really close to the animals, the farm staff are on site to support ‘Animal Encounter’ sessions, providing hands on contact with farm animals for people of all ages.

Most of the animals go to bed at around 4pm and you are always welcome to help ’round em-up’ and walk them into their night shelters.

Mudchute Equestrian Centre
The centre is a British Horse Society approved riding school, with a a variety of horses and ponies for all abilities. The all weather floodlit riding arena provides year round riding facilities. There is a full set of show jumps and some cross-country fences with access to ride over much of the 32 acres that make up Mudchute Park & Farm.  Riding lessons are for both adults and children (from 7), from beginner to advanced level, on an individual or group basis, with riding courses and a wide range of activities available for visiting groups.  Call 020 7515 0749 or email [email protected]
