Do you live in East London? The #ArtKickers Awards are coming – celebrating the unsung heroes of East London’s arts scenes and the area’s future arts stars!
The awards were started by Angie Gough, who was motivated by the shocking fact that 41% of children in East London’s Hackney live in poverty.
The arts is one way to make an area a better places to live and to boost the happiness of people living there.
Angie’s teamed up with LoveEast magazine to put on a glitzy awards show that celebrates those working hard to engage communities in the arts across East London.
An #ArtsKicker is someone who believes in the power of the arts to make the world a better place and harnesses that power to make a positive impact in their local communities.
Nominations are now open and there are six categories, including the Future Artists award.
This award calls on children and young people to create some public art in your area and tell the organisers about it by posting your picture or video with #FutureArtsKickers!
For full details, entry criteria and to nominate an #ArtsKicker, visit the awards’ website.
Entry deadline is 9.30am on Monday 6th March and a suitably arty, star studded awards ceremony is to be held on Wednesday 29th March.Add a comment
