Happy 70th Birthday, Puffin Books

puffin_70Puffin Books is celebrating their 70th birthday in 2010.

As part of their celebrations, they have produced The Puffin Handbook – a little guide to the 70 best books for children.  Its packed full of fantastic Puffin books for children of every age and taste, and is FREE guide.  It will be available from bookshops and libraries from May 2010 and also to download at www.puffin.co.uk.   The Puffin Handbook includes expert advice and top tips to help parents and children embark on a reading journey.

  • Beginning with baby books, the guide goes all the way through to teenage years and beyond.
  • It has been produced to help parents navigate the potential minefield of choosing and sharing books for children.
  • With chapters on baby books, picture books, young fiction and teen fiction, there is also expert advice from popular Puffin authors including Eric Carle, Jeanne Willis, Jeremy Strong and Eoin Colfer.
