This week there is a massive horse racing festival in Gloucestershire called the Cheltenham Festival. There are an incredible 2,075 horses taking part.
But have you heard about the huge white horse statue being planned for Ebbsfleet in Kent?
It is being designed by an artist called Mark Wallinger and will be known as the Angel of the South. It’s meant to be an accurate replica of a thoroughbred horse, only 33 times as big!
The horse will stand a massive 160 feet high, which is just 5 feet shorter than Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square! This is how the artist imagines it will look.
If there was a real horse that size, I reckon it could win the Cheltenham Gold Cup in just one stride! If you were to design a huge animal statue, which animal would you go for? Let me know in the comment box below.
