Popstar of the Year: Alexandra Burke

Alexandra-Burke-Overcome2010 has certainly been a big year for former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.

She started an eventful year as she meant to go on with a massive European Promo Tour in January.

In March Alexandra released her first single of the year All Night Long, which climbed to number four in the UK charts, making it her fourth consecutive Top 10 single. It then went on to spen an impressive 25 weeks in the UK Top 100, selling over 260,000 copies!

Alexandra Burke didn’t sit back though! She soon released her next single at the end of August, Start Without You, featuring the vocals of American rapper Laza Morgan.

The single became her third number one hit already within a still relatively short career!

Although her final single of the year The Silence didn’t manage to make it into the top 10, peaking at 16, it has so far stayed in the top 40 on the UK Charts for the past 9 weeks – so even her least successful track this year has still gone pretty well!
