Your Asian Scrapbook!
Hi, it’s Zoom here from Birmingham Airport!
And I’ve been keeping track of all of your adventures!
When I’m not hanging out in the Sky Zone, I’m jetting off around the world – exploring some of the amazing places you can visit flying from Birmingham Airport!
I’ve seen so many countries and cities it’s hard to keep track of them all – so it’s lucky I’ve got my trusty scrapbook!
And it looks like you’ve been creating your very own scrapbook entries on your adventures at home or abroad too.
Here are your scrapbook entries from Asia!
Singapore is an island city-state, next to Malaysia. It has tall, futuristic skyscrapers, shops, and is home to lots of different cultures.
Samuel from Kent went to Singapore!
I had the opportunity to visit my Nanny and Grandad in Singapore and Malaysia. I was amazed to see so many flamingos in the Singapore Zoo. This zoo is around double the size of London Zoo. It has over 300 species there. My favourite animal in the zoo was the Komodo Dragon because it looks so lazy yet it is so powerful! Marina Bay Sands looks amazing! It is 56 storeys tall and on the 55th storey, they have a chocolate and cheese buffet! What more could a child want! From the Sky Bar you can see over the port and the city. On the night we visited, we saw the fireworks Practise for the SG50 celebrations. I went to a strange school – the School of Hard Knocks! You don’t learn maths but you learn how to make a pewter bowl using a hammer! My bowl was a bit wonky! The Singapore Flyer is located next to where the Formula 1 track. It stands at 65m tall and its circular shape is made up of lots of straight segments! My favourite ride at the Universal Studios on Sentosa Island was the Jurassic Park Rapids. We were tossed about like rag dolls! The twists and turns of the enchanted airways roller coaster made me feel disorientated. The special effects in Shrek 4D made me feel part of the movie!
So did John from Westminster!
The best bit was marina bay sands we went to Sentosa Island, and we saw the merlion and we saw fishes.
Japan is an island country in the Pacific Ocean. it has lots of skyscrapers in it’s many cities, historical imperial palaces, Buddhist shrines and temples and it’s home to a very famous food – Sushi!
Wes from Lancashire went to Japan!
My mummy had wanted all her life to see the snow monkies in Japan and said she often felt like one chilling in the bath tub at home. It was super exciting to see the beautiful monkies chilling in the hot springs they looked so relaxed and happy the best bit for me was to see a big monkey so close up and take pictures of them with my mummy.
Sri lanka is a tiny island, just off the southern tip of India. it has rainforests, lots of different wildlife and long beaches. It’s really famous for its ancient Buddhist temple ruins, and its coliurful food!
Shahlia from Milton Keynes went to Sri lanka!
Sri-Lanka is the best place in the world and especially the part where you go for a month is totally brilliant. The sandy shores, the fresh smells of coconuts and the delicious curries is just one of the best part of it however there’s tons more. However, the best part of it was seeing family and just sharing a month of love and peace with them.
