Home Front Family Day at The Geffrye Museum of the Home, London

19th July 2015 | Museums

Head down to The Geffrye Museum for a day of World War 1 themed activities including storytelling, drama, craft activities and more!

You can decorate a photo frame using trench art techniques in the Family Photo Frames workshop and meet Private Arthur Webb and learn about his life in the Machine Gun Corps!

Create a stylish notebook or journal to capture your thoughts or explore the garden on the smelling trail and with the matchbox treasure hunt!

You can even join Sean from the Fun Kids Breakfast show as he shows you what life was like 100 years ago in our special The Great War Through a London Child’s Eye workshop!

There’s loads more activities for you to try out on the day – and if you get hungry, then the museum’s café is open all day or you can bring a picnic to eat on the grass!
