Save the Children World Marathon Challenge

Are you in a sporty mood now after the Olympics? Well get your school involved in this!

The World Marathon Challenge is a race where your school will race against other schools all over the world to raise money for Save the Children!

You will be in a team of 30 other kids and you’ll each run a share of a marathon! This will mean running about 200 metres and passing on the baton to another runner. You’ll do this about 6 or 7 times in the day.

The aim of the game is to beat the world marathon record, set by Patrick Makau. He ran the 26 miles in 2 hours and 3 minutes. Do you think you can do it?
