It seems like this has been a week of telling you about amazing 10-year-olds.
First we had the likes of Heather Russell who has just been signed by Simon Cowell and is tipped to be the next big thing.
Then 10-year-old Maria Aragon was invited to sing with Lady Gaga based on a Youtube clip she put up.
Now, 10-year-old Katherine Dewar from Chester has just been chosen as the designer of the Queen’s official 2012 Diamond Jubilee emblem.
Next year marks the 60th year of Queen Elizabeth II‘s reign, taking the throne after the death of her father way back in 1952.
For this celebration – known as a Diamond Jubilee – Blue Peter ran a competition for kids to send in their designs for the official logo for the event.
Over 35,000 entered, but in the end Katherine was chosen. As you may expect, she is ‘very excited’ as her design will now be used on everything, from big billboards right down to special teacups!
From all of us at Fun Kids, congratulations Katherine!
