Beliebers everywhere were left delighted last night when Justin Bieber collected four awards at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards ceremony in Los Angeles! The teenage superstar picked up awards for best Male Artist, Male Music Star of the Summer and Male Fashion Icon, as well as taking home the award for Single by a Male Artist for his hit ‘Boyfriend’. Well done, Justin!
Justin was quick to post on twitter how grateful he is to all his fans, tweeting ‘What did u guys think?? I do this for y’all. #mybeliebers i love u. Thank u!!!’
‘Call Me Maybe’ singer Carly Rae Jepsen also congratulated him, as well as posting this picture of herself and Justin. Nice shades!
Carly picked up two awards on the night, for Breakout Artist and Song of the Summer (for ‘Call Me Maybe’). Elsewhere, Fun Kids favourites One Direction won three awards, including the Love Song award for ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ – a very successful night for the 1D boys! ‘The Lorax’ star Taylor Swift won two awards, including the Female Artist prize. And Katy Perry’s new film ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ won Movie of the Summer.
Other awards went to Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart and Rihanna, with Glee and The Hunger Games also winning in the television and film categories.
And it was a particularly special night for Selena Gomez. Not only did she and her group Selena Gomez & the Scene win the Choice award for Music Group, she was also presented on stage with a delicious looking cake for her 20th birthday. Here she is blowing out the candles. Happy birthday, Selena!
