Ed Sheeran is set to go head-to-head with The X Factor for this year’s Christmas Number 1!
The guitar-playing, ginger-haired singer has revealed to The Daily Star that he’s busy writing a ‘crimbo’ tune!
“I wrote a Christmas song the other day, which will hopefully end up as a Christmas single,” Ed confessed.

Don’t get too excited just yet though – sadly, Ed didn’t confirm he’d actually release it!
But, Ed, we will be disappointed if there’s not a sleigh-load of jingle bells and a Santa rap on the new track!
