‘CubJam’, the biggest Cub Scout event in 10 years took place last week!
It was just one of loads of events taking place in 2016 to celebrate 100 years of Cub Scouting.
To help mark the occasion LEGO sent along professional LEGO builder Duncan Titchmarsh to build a birthday cake out of 22,000 bricks!
This sort of thing would have taken Duncan absolutely ages on his own so he enlisted the help of Cub Scouts to build the 100 LEGO candles to go on top.
Cubs 100 Ambassador, Steve Backshall, also popped by for a slice of the action and helped cut the cakes with a group of Cub Scouts!
1200 young Cub Scouts from across England and Wales went along to CubJam!
Rachel Jardine aged 10, Cub Scout from Fenstanton, said:
“CubJam is brilliant. I have made friends with other Cubs from all over the place. I have done so many activities and had I loved taking part in all the camping activities.
Louise Clover, an adult who has helped to organise the event, said:
“It’s been a real challenge organising this event. I use lots of my business-based skills to lead, motivate and encourage a team of fantastic adults to make this camp really special for the young people who attend.
