A few months ago we ran a competition to name the new Thames Clipper, a brand-new London river bus!
Lennon from Edinburgh entered the competition and won! He named the clipper Mercury.
To celebrate, he was invited to London for a VIP ride on the clipper where he was crowned the mini-captain and got to take in sights along the River Thames!
The Mercury Clipper entered service in June 2017 and will be joined by sister-vessel the Jupiter Clipper in August.
Both were named by our competition winner and increase the MBNA Thames Clippers fleet to 17 boats!
The boats run between Putney in the west to Woolwich in the East and were the result of a £6.3 million investment in London’s transport infrastructure.
Congratulations, Lennon! We’re glad you enjoyed your day!
Remember, you could be a Fun Kids winner too!
It’s super easy, just visit the Win section and enter our amazing competitions.
