We’ve been taking a peek at Rohan Gavin’s new book Knightley & Son: K-9!

Picture CREDIT D.V.J. ScanlanIt’s all about a young tweed-wearing detective called Darkus Knightley who finds his dad has gone walkies!

Mysterious trained hounds are attacking policemen at the full moon, there are rumours of a werewolf at a top London beauty spot and now two stealth dogs seem to be following Darkus – how strange!

Darkus recruits the family mutt Wilbur – an ex-police dog – as his partner in crime-solving and they try to track down what’s happened!

Wilbur is a German Shepherd who served in the K-9 unit of a bomb disposal squad.

K9 mapHe’s an older dog whose experience on the job has given him some post-traumatic stress disorder. He loves Darkus though and is keen to use his nose and excellent skills to sniff out a mystery!

Clive (Darkus’s annoying stepfather) isn’t a fan though – Wilbur tends to chew and wee on his stuff!
