Today is St Andrews Day in Scotland!
He’s the patron saint of Scotland and on November 30th, Scots celebrate all that he did!
St Andrew’s philosophy was simple: share what you have with those less fortunate and be kind to each other!
Each year people in Scotland celebrate these principles with a host of parties and special events for everyone to enjoy.
His cross is featured on the flag of Scotland – that’s the white ‘X’ on the blue background.
He’s not only the patron saint of Scotland but he is also the patron saint of singers, spinsters, maidens, fishmongers, and fisherman.
St Andrew is also the saint of a handful of other countries including Greece, Russia, Romania, and Barbados!
