Earlier in the week, we told you about the Shaun, thought to be the ‘world’s wooliest sheep’! Well, we have an update…
He’s had a haircut!
After being on the run for years in Tasmania, desperate to avoid a shearing, Shaun was eventually caught by farmer Peter Hazell.
Named after the CBBC character, Shaun has enjoyed a celebrity lifestyle over the past week – touring the country, giving ‘interviews’ and getting loads of admirers!
Shaun’s shave took 20 minutes and produced a whopping 23kg of wool!

However, sadly for Shaun, the ram didn’t manage to beat the current New Zealand record holder, Shrek. His coat weighed in at a staggering 27kg!
At least Shaun will feel a lot lighter and cooler now without his massive woolly jumper!
We wonder what ‘baa’rmy antics he’ll get up to next!
