With all the talk about Cheryl being on and off the US X Factor and Simon Cowell moving permanently overseas, there was a danger that the UK show had kind of fallen under radar.
However, from the looks of it X Factor 2011 has kicked off with as big a bang as ever!
Auditions for this year’s show have just started today with thousands of people turning out at Birmingham where the auditions are starting.

It’s also a chance for people to see the judges, three of which will be brand new this series.

As you can see Louis Walsh has returned and he was joined by new judge Gary Barlow from Take That, as the pair walked down the red carpet.
And they were quickly followed by another new judge, Tulisa from N-Dubz, who has been telling the press that she does not want to be seen as the new Cheryl.

Safe to say it looks like this year’s X Factor will be as big as ever and with only a couple of months until it returns to our TV screens we’re starting to get very excited!
