Bex caught up with author Amber Lee Dodd about her brand new book, Lightning Chase Me Home!
The book is all about somebody called Amelia who lives on a windy island. She’s named after two adventurers, Amelia Earhart and Lady Hester Stanhope!
In the story, Amelia’s mum walks out on her and she’s about to start a whole new life.
But when she makes a wish on her birthday to be reunited with her mum, she finds herself disappearing at times of stress and reappearing elsewhere on the island, like magic…
Can she harness this strange magic to find her mum, wherever she is? Will her Dad, sad and silent since her mum’s departure, start to pay her more attention?
Will she find the courage to forge her own path, like the lady explorers she was named for?
