FILMCLUB Film of The Week: Laura (1944, PG)
Director: Otto Preminger
Cast: Dana Andrews, Vincent Price, Gene Tierney, Clifton Webb, Judith Anderson
This stylish classic movie, which is re-released in cinemas this week, is about rich journalist who falls in love with a beautiful young woman. Then, when that woman (Laura) is found murdered, the detective sent to investigate gets swept up in the story himself. When the detective falls asleep in the apartment where Laura lived the mystery really starts to get creepy.
Donβt be put off by it being in black and white, this film is so good it was nominated for five Oscars! A great movie to enjoy with your parents, or even Grandparents!

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (12A)

British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than its advertisements, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways.
