Reading is Magic Festival is returning in October and you don’t want to miss it!
Lots of writers, illustrators and poets who you might recognise are taking part – and you can get involved.
The events will be beamed straight into schools and homes across the globe.
Award-winning childrenβs author and creator of How to Train Your Dragon and The Wizards of Once series, Cressida Cowell, has a big role in the festival. In fact, the name comes from her key message of ‘reading is magic, and magic is for everyone‘.
Some important points to remember are:
- Be creative for at least 15 minutes a week
- Have a planet to read on
- See yourself reflected in a book
- Have some choice in what you read
- Read for the joy of it
