Animal Adventure, is the new children’s zoo at ZSL London Zoo, and provides many chances for children to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, smells and experiences of life in the animal kingdom.

With treetop walkways and underground tunnels, watery worlds and airy spaces, secretive aardvarks and curious coatis, Animal Adventure is a natural playground that will fire your imaginations like never before.  It’s a dynamic environment for a dynamic generation.

Every aspect of Animal Adventure is infused with fun, aimed at reinforcing children’s love of nature, and from the moment you first set foot on the walkway, the adventure begins.

Tree Zone
meerkat-5557Start your adventure at Treetop Village and meet the red pandas and coatis who make their lives among the leaves.

Kids will have the freedom to climb, swing and visit the lookout towers for a treetop view of the world.

Root Zone
From the tops of the trees down to the roots, visitors are led through the earth to explore an underground world.  A network of tunnels lets kids explore, challenge their fears and meet underground animals in their own habitats.

Snuggle up close to an aardvark, explore underground tunnels like a prairie marmot, and fully get to grips with subterranean life in a risk-free environment.

The Splash Zone
koatis-and-girl-5585After air and earth – now it’s time for water. Let off steam in the Splash Zone, while discovering more about the importance of water to life.  Alongside this zone is the story tepee where children can settle down to a good animal tale, and the Secret Garden, full of natural delights.

Touch Zone
Visit a grooming station in the Touch Zone, try your hand at being a keeper, and get involved in food preparation in the ‘Keeper’s Kitchen’.

Finally, llamas, alpacas and donkeys are on hand to say goodbye at the exit, ending a memorable experience for children that they will never forget
