Earth Day is Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 and we’re celebrating all week on Fun Kids!
Since 1970, the day has been a moment for millions of people around the world to come together in support of planet Earth. Whether itβs planting trees, reducing waste, switching to cleaner energy, or spending time in nature, Earth Day reminds us that small actions, when multiplied by millions, can truly make a difference!
How we’re celebrating Earth Day at Fun Kids
We’re playing tonnes of tunes from our friends at Earth Cubs, just like the one below. You’ll be able to hear these just after 6pm every day!
There’s also tonnes of Earth facts, our good friend Marina Ventura, and quizzes too…
Plus, with Earth Day:
- Emily Walker reads an Earth Day story about renewable energy and why it makes a difference to our world
- Bryce Coon answers questions on Earth Day about why it matters, what it achieves, and why marking it is so key
- Tonnes of true-or-false facts. Like did you know that urban areas β like cities and neighbourhoods β are seeing skyrocketing rat populations? Rising temperatures are to blame for this surge, particularly in densely populated cities, because warmer weather boosts their reproduction rates and extends their breeding season!
