Over Christmas, the Fruit & Root Crew were on the lookout for something truly amazing… They wanted you to create the very best Sprout-themed Superhero. Someone small, mighty and full of festive cheer.

Just think… what if Brussels Sprouts could be more than a side dish on your Christmas dinner? What if they could change into a superhero who zooms through the snow, helping people and spreading kindness along the way?

And here are the top entries and our winner…

Ted was our winner…

My superhero is called Sprout Boy

His superpower is that he can make sprouts grow really fast whenever Christmas is in danger. If a Christmas tree starts to fall over, he grows big bouncy sprouts underneath it to hold it up. If someone is being naughty, he can gently trap them in a sprout hug so they can’t cause trouble.

Sprout Boy lives near the North Pole in a small sprout patch behind Santa’s workshop. He doesn’t tell many people where he lives because the reindeer keep eating his house. On Christmas Eve, Santa asks him to help make sure Christmas dinners don’t get ruined and that everyone has enough sprouts.

He wears a green hoodie with a sprout on it and trainers so he can run fast in the snow. He’s not scary or bossy, just kind and helpful, and he always saves Christmas in a quiet way.

Evan’s Madame Mavis Sproutshire

Her Superpower is mavis glows bright green with sparkles like a Christmas star and shoots tiny sparkling green sprouts that spread joy and kindness wherever they land.

Madame Mavis Sproutshire is small but very strong. She zooms through snowy skies, lighting up dark winter nights with her luminous lime green sprout aura. Whenever naughty elves try to spoil Christmas, she blasts them with dark green sprout farts that makes them so sick they stop what they are doing.

She also has bright white sprout farts that smell nice and are invisible. She can also grow tall in an instant to help anyone in trouble or to make her naughty farts even bigger for the really naughty elves.

Every Christmas, Madame Mavis Sproutshire makes sure everyone has a happy fun day by silently farting her bright white sprout farts down the chimney after Santa leaves. Santa doesn’t know she does this, so it’s our little secret!

Sir Russell Sprout

Dylan told us that Sir Russell Sprout works on his sprout farm and he has a big bottom for farting. His superpower is farting so the bad guys run away.

Luke’s sprout superhero

On his left forearm, he has a gadget with a small barrel (gun barrel) on the top and a cog just behind it. The cog has two icons, one, a sprout icon which means he can shoot sprouts and the other icon is a shrink icon which means he can change the size of real objects to use them to his advantage, because he is normally 5cm tall. 

He also can change his size from 1mm to a normal person or anything in between.  His visor has a scanner to locate any lifeforms within 5 miles.

Also, the bottom of his boots and gloves are sticky allowing him to walk up walls. His armour is so strong he can survive almost any fall, and can easily withstand bullets or blades.

Mary’s Stella Sprout Spy

This is my Stella Sprout Spy who fights crime by shooting sprouts at the bad guys.

She also has rocket boots so she can go really fast and her suit has camouflage modes so she can blend into her surroundings like a chameleon.
