Meet Coco Tomita, winner in the Strings Category of BBC Young Musician 2020

Coco Tomita is an 18 year old violinist from Japan. She grew up in the UK and is now studying at the Yehudi Menuhin School, which is a specialist music school.

She is a very talented musician which is why she won the Strings Category of the BBC Young Musicians 2020. This means she will be in the final with the four winners from the other categories.

Coco started playing the violin at 4 years old and so she has had a lot of practice. She has taken part in many national and international competitions across the world and has won multiple prizes.
