Facilities for Families with Babies
Polka welcomes families with children of all ages. The theatre comes complete with a baby-changing room and a buggy park, and café staff will happily warm up baby food.
Babies in the Adventure Theatre
The Adventure Theatre welcomes babies and toddlers to all events – there is no minimum age restriction in this performance space, and babies under 12 months go free. The Adventure Theatre has also recently played host to a number of shows specifically for babies (6 mths +), such as Lyngo’s Egg & Spoon and Martin Waddell’s Bear Stories.
Babies in the Main Theatre
While children under 4 are not generally permitted in the Main Theatre, we regularly schedule ‘Watch with Baby’ performances for certain productions, in order for you to enjoy a play with your older children, without needing to worry about childcare for your youngest ones. Should your baby become restless during the performance, then simply take them out of the auditorium where you can comfort them while continuing to watch the show on the monitor.
