How Boats Float – Inspiring Engineering

Sean’s from Kinetic is here with a floating experiment and all you need is water and blu tac.

We’re finding out how boats float. Oil tankers and cruise ships are gigantic and made from heavy metal, but they still manage to float.

2000 years ago Archimedes came up with the law of buoyancy and taught us why things float. We also learn about plimsole lines on ships.
