Hi! I’m Arno and I’m with the Aquanauts.
We’re wild about water and how to make sure there’s enough for everyone who needs it now and in years to come.
Here at Aquanaut Central, we keep an eye on what’s happening to our water, looking at new innovations and what we and YOU can do to help!
You’ve been designing a water solution to help make the world a better place. Here’s our favourites, plus, find out if you’re the winner!

“First the unused water goes in the drain that leads into a water pipe. The pipe brings the water to a sprinkler. Then when the grass has been sprinkled with the water, the water goes in another pipe. This pipe leads to the sea. Then the cycle starts again because the sea will evaporate some water from the sea then it will rain and we would have more water for the taps.”

“A net that goes to the bottom of the ocean with metal detector and magnet to pick up metal litter in the ocean.”

“My idea is to save water use on gardens and outdoors, and to ensure that water shortages during the summer months, is as minimal as it can be. It would focus on rain water butts being fitted in every new home’s garden by the builders. Then using the rain water collected in them to water plants. Also, to allow UK birds, which are in decline, to always have access to clean water even in very cold conditions when they can’t easily access water. I would then invent a water solution that has all the nutrients that birds need to survive, and using my water, many birds would survive and not become extinct.”

“The Water Recycle Machine cleans and reuses water at water parks. It takes dirty water, makes it fresh and safe to use again, saving water and money. It helps keep the water clean and is good for the environment.”

“WaterSaver is a cool system that collects rainwater to help water parks use less fresh water. It catches the rain from roofs, cleans it with filters, and stores it for things like filling the lakes or watering plants. It even has sensors to know how much water is needed, so it only uses what’s needed. It saves money, helps the environment, and makes the park more eco-friendly!”
Simiah, aged 11
“The EcoWave Water Filtration and Reuse System is a smart way to clean and reuse water in places like water parks. It takes water from the lake or pool, filters out dirt and debris, and then uses special filters like bio-sand, activated carbon, and UV lights to make it clean and safe again. It even has sensors to make sure the water is always good quality. This helps save fresh water, lowers costs, and keeps the environment clean. It’s an easy, cool way to reuse water and make sure everything stays safe for everyone!”
We loved your ideas but there can only be one winner. A big well done to Ashton who has won tickets to a watersports park and the chance to present his idea to water engineers!
