Sometimes there can be leaks in the normal gas supply to your home, that can result in a very nasty smell.

However, carbon monoxide on the other hand, has no smell at all.

Gas analysers are much more sensitive – they can detect one part of carbon monoxide per one MILLION parts of air.

And they can also work out the different amounts of each gas.

Taking readings in different parts of the house will help the engineers to hunt down the source of a gas leak.

They’ll also be looking for tell-tale signs too – old appliances and sooty deposits on the walls can be a gassy giveaway!

The easiest way to check if there’s any carbon monoxide around is to get a Carbon Monoxide alarm.  That way, you can help your families to stay safe.
