Go All In: National Year of Reading happening now

Find out more below!

The National Year of Reading is all about celebrating books and stories!

It was created to help children, families and communities discover just how exciting reading can be.

Schools, libraries, authors and tonnes more of people are joining in.

The idea’s simple: reading can change your life. It can help you learn new things, travel to imaginary worlds and understand other people better!

The most important part of the National Year of Reading is encouraging everyone to read for fun, not just for homework.

Reading isn’t only about getting better at spelling or tests. It’s about imagination, curiosity and discovering stories you’ll never forget.

There are tonnes of fun activities taking place like book challenges, storytelling sessions and visits from writers. We’re challenging you to try different kinds of books from adventures and mysteries to comics and fact books!

If you enjoy it and you’re reading or listening to a story, it matters.
