Illustrator Sion Ap Tomos is helping you overcome writers block in a workshop at the British Library!

20 August 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Explore storytelling through drawings and pictures with famous illustrator Sion Ap Tomos!

The British Library will show you how to make illustrated ‘story starters’ that you can use to create exciting adventures – pictures of characters, places, objects and actions that are used to fire your imagination!

[amazon_textlink asin=’B003Q9Z1U6′ text=’One example is a story cube’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’funkids-21′ marketplace=’UK’ link_id=’5bbed36b-5742-11e7-a513-09b48bde73a3′]: a dice with numbers instead of pictures. Roll the cube and use whichever picture it lands on to get your story going.

You will explore different kinds of prompts in the workshop and use them to tell each other brilliant tales!

What story would you tell if you were shown a picture of a scary forest, a very old frog or a magical trumpet?

The session is a free drop in, suitable for ages 5 – 11.
Drop in places are limited to 40 people per workshop and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The event also takes place at 14.00.
